Furman Volleyball fresh off a huge win over conference leading Mercer last night, came in on a three-game winning streak and one of the hottest teams in the league. Paladins looking at .500 11-11 for the first time since the start of the season, and 5-6 in the SoCon can make a major statement with a win over visiting Samford. Samford has a tough job cooling down the Paladins.

The Paladins get that all important first set and move two games closer to getting a fourth win at Ally gym and sending the fans in attendance home happy. Two more sets needed to get it done so lets move on to set two as Furman looks to be a team to finish out the season hot.

Furman once again gets the set win and now the fans here at Ally gym since this could be a special night for the Paladins. The ladies put out a awesome effort as Augustson, Navarro, and Seekford lead the charge and have energized the team. One more set to go for a sweep against a tough Samford team, so hopes are the Paladins can close it out.

Furman has done it, they complete the sweep of Samford, and the fans are going nuts, a great win for Furman as they are now (12-11, 6-6 SoCon) and making a statement to the rest of the Conference that you don’t want to face this team in the Tournament coming up soon at Wofford. Congratulations to them and the coaches on a great run so far. Tuesday will be the next test as UT Chatanooga comes to Alley Gym at 6pm.
