VMI Upends Furman 91-82 on the Road
The Furman Paladins on Wednesday night was given a lesson by the VMI 91-82 with the Keydets shooting over 51% from the floor while also converting 24-27 free throws. Furman suffered its third loss in the last four games after looking like at the start of the season a real threat to be the SoCon leaders.
The Keydets was able to shoot 9 of 22 from the three-point line, while out scoring Furman 40-20 in the paint, and only converting 7 turnovers. VMI who was led by Augustinas Kiudulas who had 22 points on 10-11 shooting from the line. Rickey Bradley Jr. also added 6-10 from the field adding 6 for 6 from the line, 19 points total. in the end, VMI had 5 players with double figures in the game.
Furman players Charles Johnston and Ben VanderWal both was able to get double figures for the Paladins, Johnston with 18 points a career high and 11 rebounds. VanderWal had 15 points with 12 rebounds while going 5-9 from the floor, as PJay Smith added his 18 points going 6-11 from the 3-point arch.
