Furman Soccer

The Furman Women’s Soccer team (4-4-2, 0-1 SoCon) welcomes the Keydets of VMI (4-4-1, 01 SoCon) to Seagraves Field. Furman comes off a tie this past week vs Mercer and wants to establish a winning streak with a win today versus VMI.

Furman Women’s soccer scores first in the 30th minute when #21 Nieva Gaither with an assist from #17 Ellie Herrmann and #8 Tara Katz to take the 1-0 lead.

VMI is able to get a huge tying score in the 20th minute and its now 1-1 when #21 Barrett Callejo gets the ball in the net. VMI is giving the Paladin women a tough battle this afternoon here at Seagraves Field. We get to the half tied 1-1 and here are the halftime stats for Furman. Furman has 4 fouls, 2 saves, 8 corner kicks, 15 shots on goal.

The 35th minute in the second half Furman #8 Tara Katz gets a huge score and Furman is in the lead 2-1 looking to increase its lead.

The Paladins add on to the lead when #10 Valentina Mosquera at the 64th Minute mark, and its 3-1 as we head into the hydration break to let both teams get water.
