Round 3 Furman Paladins Versus Montana Grizzley’s Playoff Football
Tonight, Furman faces another huge foe in Montana in the quarter finals of the FCS Playoffs. The Paladins will be facing a great crowd and some unreal weather but are ready to represent as the SoCon’s last team left in the playoffs. We have a kickoff and what a start to the game, Montana goes 99 yards to the end zone, touchdown Montana.
Yet Furman takes the ball and quickly marches down the field with four plays and scores a touchdown and answers the Grizz and the Paladins are in this game 7-7 as the fans are somewhat silent in the stadium.

After a couple back and forth punts Montana strikes again with a touchdown and the score goes to 14-7 the Grizz take back the lead on Furman.
Furman answers the bell and gets another quick score and tie the game up and Montana is realizing they need to get the ball and hold on to it as Furman is showing its Moxey to not let them take off with this game. The Grizzley are able to get 2 field goals and head into half time with a six point lead its 20-14.

Furman will get the ball first in the second half and will need to score first to get this game under control. After, a huge sack Furman is able to get a key interception from Micah Robinson and Furman has the ball in great position to score, and does when Dominick Roberto gets in from one yard out and its 21-20 Furman takes the lead.
We end the 3rd quarter with Furman in the lead 21-20 after Montana misses a chance at a 43 yard field goal.
Now with 9″40 left in the 4th quarter Montana gets a go-ahead touchdown to make the game 28-21. Furman will need to get up and get a score to make this game tied up, we will see what this veteran team is made of really quick here as time is fading away in this game. The Paladins go down the field and with 13 seconds left have scored a touchdown to tie this game as Huff finds Pline in the end zone and with the extra point we are tied at 28 and headed to overtime!
Montana is able to score on its overtime possession and Furman is held and Montana is able to outlast Furman 35-28 in overtime and advance into Round four of the football playoffs. Furman gave a great effort, and its been a great season for the Paladins.
