Furman Paladins Women’s soccer (5-4-3, 1-0-2) returns home for the first time in weeks after the destruction of Hurricane Helene, as they face off against UNC Greensboro (4-5-3, 3-0-1). The Paladins will be trying to extend their streak of no losses and celebrate FU Cancer night “Pink Night”.

We are at the 35-minute mark and both teams have two shots on goal, but nobody has scored. They both have been playing great physical defense. The Paladins at the 29th minute get a goal as Maddie Massie heads in a corner kick by Ava King and its 1-0 Paladins. We get to halftime and its 1-0 Furman, and we now can go over the first half stats. Furman had 2 saves by Reese Dejong, 6 corner kicks, 6 shots on goal, 2 fouls, and 1 goal by Maddie Massie 28:31. The Paladins will now hope to keep UNC Greensboro at bay in the second half to get a huge SoCon win.

The Paladins at 12 minutes left in the game are still holding a 1-0 lead, and there has been lots of subbing on both sides in this game. Furman is able to hold on to a 1-0 win over UNC Greensboro and extends its no loss streak to 8 games with 5 wins and 3 draws.
