Furman Women’s Lacrosse Plays Last Home Game Versus Radford for Shot at Big South Tournament
Furman Lacrosse gets ready to punch its ticket to the Big South Tournament with a win tonight or even a lose if things fall their way, but first to face Radford Highlanders in the last home game of the season at Paladin Stadium.
Anna Roser is showing her stuff early and gets the first goal of the night and its 1-0. Raford bounces back and gets a quick goal and its 1-1 with just over 13 minutes into the 1st period. Hannah Dintino gets a quick goal for Furman breaking through the defense of Radford now its 2-1 Furman back in the lead. Sophia Buzelis gets a goal after a foul and Furman makes it 3-1 and the Lady Paladins are off and running. radford bounces back and gets a goal and now we are at 3-2 with under 12 minutes left in the 1st. Radford gets another huge goal and its now tied at 3-3.
Paige Harman gets a great goal after a assist by Sophia Buzelis to give Furman a 4-3 lead awith a media timeout.
Sophie Shaw gets in on the scoring and its now 5-3 Furman over Radford with 6 minutes left in the 1st quarter. Anna Roser gets her second goal of the night and Furman goes to a 6-3 lead and is trying to pull away before we head to the 2nd quarter. Furman right before the end of the 1st quarter scores and its 7-3 as Sophie Shaw gets the goal.
Furman #7 Hannah Dintino gets the goal and now its 8-3 Lady Paladins out to a huge lead of 5 over Radford. Radford gets a much-needed goal and makes the game 8-4 and we head to a media timeout.
Furman gets another goal as Paige Harmon scores with a assist from Anna Roser and now its 9-4 Lady Paladins. Hannah Dintino goes right past everyone scores a sick goal and its 10-4 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Anna Roser gets her 3rd goal of the game and its now 11-4 Furman Lacrosse over Radford with 3 minutes left in the 2nd. Sophia Buzelis gets an assist from Paige Harman and now its 12-4 Furman extending its lead with 2 minutes to go.
Sophia Buzelis gets yet another goal and assist from Paige Harmon and its 13-4 with 1 minute to go in the half. Molly Faul gets her first goal of the night with a assist from Sophia Buzelis and Furman is up 14-4 heading into halftime.
After halftime Furman comes out and goes on a scoring spree with Anna Roser getting four goals and its Furman with a 19-5 lead with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Furman heads into the 4th quarter with a 19-5 lead and Anna Roser is leading the way with 7 goals and 2 away from tying her school record. Furman comes out gets another goal as Sophia Shaw scores and its 20-5, as Furman just needs to keep the ball away from Radford at this point. Furman gets yet another goal as Paige Harmon gets a goal and assist from Sophia Buzelis and the score is 21-5.
