The Furman Paladin’s Women’s Basketball (5-4) comes into tonight’s game facing a Bob Jones Bruins (2-6) also needing a win to keep their season alive before heading into league play. Pierre Curtis in his first year has done a great job so far with his young team, and with several stars having to take lesser roles to heal.

Furman comes out of the timeout still using its size and great shooting to keep Bob Jones at bay, and the score is now 27-12 with 1:25 left in the quarter. Stats for the Paladins at the end of the first 13 points on turnovers, 16 points in the paint, 10 points of the bench for Furman with Kate Johnson and Sydney Ryan tied with 8 points a piece.

Furman is still just overpowering the small Bob Jones team which is showing guts hanging with the Paladins as best they can. The game is starting to get out of hand as Furman has opened up a 52-19 lead over Bob Jones with just over 3 minutes left. The Media time out hits with Furman 55-19 over Bob Jones 2:17 left in the game.

Kate Johnson 12 points 6 rebounds, and Sydney Ryan 14 points 2 rebounds lead the way for the Paladins Ladies basketball as we head towards halftime in the game. Lots of subs in the game as both teams resting players at this point and seeing players from the bench get time in the game. Its halftime and Furman has a 64-19 lead.

The stats for Furman are 28 points off turnovers, 27 points in the paint, 20 second chance points, 13 off fast breaks, and 33 points off the bench as Furman is allowing its stars to rest with such a big lead, and this also is allowing stars like Tate a chance to rest her leg injury. Sydney Ryan has 16 points, Kate Johnson 12 points with 6 rebounds, and Jada Session 11 points 6 rebounds for the Paladins.

Its 89-26 with 4:03 in the 3rd period of the game, Furman with a 63-point lead over Bob Jones, almost everyone has played and scored for Furman. Start of the 4th period and the Paladins are just taking control of the game 110-26 over Bob Jones, as Jada Sessions and Sydney Ryan tied with 18 points and Niveya Henley with 17 points, a total of 6 players in double figures tonight so far.

Media Timeout with 2:19 left in the game and its 122-41 as Furman has been in command of this game since the start with a bigger presence in the paint scoring 58-3 inside. They have added 52 plus points off the bench also, as Coach Curtis has just been getting playing time for all his lady Paladins tonight, as it’s a wrap here at Furman 124-44 as Furman has its history making biggest win tonight in any sport a 80-point win under first year coach Pierre Curtis.
