Furman Football Falls to Wofford 19-13 in SoCon Final Game of the Regular Season

The #2 team in FCS Furman Paladins went into the regular season finale versus Wofford Terriers with hopes of an undefeated SoCon schedule this year and homefield through the playoffs. Yet, what the Paladins was handed was an upset loss from the home team and rival Wofford Terriers. Furman QB Carson Jones was held to 18/38 for 99yards and an interception, while Hicks and Anderson were a combined 100 yards on the game rushing.

Wofford QB Amari Odom had a rough day as well going 9\18 for 92 yards and an interception as well. Ryan Ingram was 16 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown. Wofford went into halftime with a 10-6 lead and came out with a 9-point 3rd quarter and held on in the fourth quarter allowing Furman only one touchdown, after the Paladins had several chances after turnovers to get another score.

Furman will surely take a hit in the polls on Monday, and will find out its fate Sunday night with FCS Selection Sunday show.
