Furman Football is known to take on anyone, just about anywhere, as we are used to playing Clemson and South Carolina in non-conference games. This year the Paladins start off at The Grove, in Lane Kiffin country the Ole Miss Rebels. The game is sure to be a tough one for Coach Clay Hendrix and his team, but rest assured he will coach them up to compete at their best.

The Ole Miss team has a host of top rate talent and will make sure to put on a show to start the season at home. Many have the Rebels as a SEC Championship team to face either Texas or Georgia, even Alabama is still in the mix. This game could also be a game they take lightly and allow the Paladins a chance to sneak away with a more respectable showing, or even a win.

I feel the game has a chance for Furman to stay with the SEC Powerhouse, as they did with USC last year till two costly turnovers took the game away from them. Hendrix knows how to stay in games, get the most out of his players. My prediction I hope is wrong, the game will be close till halftime then the talent of Ole Miss will be too much, and they win 38-17. I will be there with Brad from College SportsCast Gameday hoping the prediction is wrong,
