A Look at Braden Gilby #43
Braden Gilby out of St Petersburg, Florida Jesuit High School, their All-Time leading tackler with 385 stops while also being their Team Captain his Junior and Senior years. Braden when joining the Paladins quickly was named to the 2019 SoCon All-Freshman team while also getting POW vs ACC Powerhouse Virginia Tech, in 2022 was SoCon Academic Honor Roll also SoCon POW vs. Mercer, he then went on to be named to this year’s 2023 SoCon Academic Honor Roll and 2023 Co Team Captain.
Braden is ranked the #23 Inside Linebacker in FCS while playing 47 games the most by any player in the program. He has 21.5 tackles for loss for 81 yards, while also having 117 Un-Assisted tackles and 146 Assisted tackles in his career. He will be the anchor on a defense that is slated to be the best in the SoCon this year. He is looking forward to Thursday night leading the Paladins to a victory over Tennessee Tech at 7pm in Paladin stadium.
