Furman Women’s Soccer Plays Host to The Citadel Bulldogs
The Furman Paladins Women’s Soccer team (5-3-2) welcomes the Citadel Bulldogs (3-3-4) at Seagraves field tonight, in the opening night of SoCon play for both teams. Both teams needing the victory to be considered for better seeding in the playoffs which is starting to take shape as we get into the last month of the year. (Game Thread)
The Paladins are first on the board when #13 Shania Diaz scores at the 17th minute and we are 1-0 here at Seagraves Field. The kick was a goal kick setup by a foul in the box, Diaz is one of the top mid fielders in the SoCon Conference.
The two teams come to a halftime score 1-0 with Furman holding a 1-0 score over Citadel as we look forward to the second half of the game. Furman holds a 10-4 SOG lead over Citadel, along with 2-1 Corner kicks lead at the half. Citadel led in fouls with 6-5 and saves was Bulldogs 3-2 over the Paladins.
The Citadel Bulldogs get a score at the 38th minute mark by #20 and we have a tied match here at Seagraves 1-1. The night would end in a tie as both teams played a great game.
