Furman Women’s Soccer Takes on SC State at Seagraves Field
The Furman Women’s Soccer team comes into tonight after a heartbreaking loss to South Carolina on Sunday, now next on the list is South Carolina St. Both teams are needing a much-deserved win to get the program going back in the right direction.

After a first full half of play the game is tied up still at 0-0 with Furman with 10 shots on goal and SC State only one. The Bulldogs goalie has been great with several great saves in the half and keeping Furman at bay.

At the 39th minute mark in the second half Furman gets a goal when #10 Valentina Mosquera gets a shot in and its 1-0. The Paladins made a huge march right down the field on that goal and the crowd gets into the game as the band plays.
The Furman Paladins get another score when #26 Jenny Jacobson at the 19th minute gets Furman an insurance score and its 2-0 Lady Paladins. The crowd is up and cheering on the team, and the players are feeding off the energy. The Lady Paladins have had 17 shots on goal to SC State at 2 shots. The Paladins have dominated the contest all night with defense. The game ends with Furman winning over SC State 2-0.
