The Furman Paladins limp into tonight’s game 1-2-0 to face the Winthrop Eagles 1-2-0 in hopes of getting a much-needed Home Opener win. Injuries and a rough game versus a ACC giant in Wake Forest have the Paladins looking for some much-needed success. (Game Thread)

Furman at the 8:12v mark gets a a goal and its 1-0 when #22 Christian Kraus and the fans are now really into the game supporting the Paladins. /

The half brings us to a 1-0 score with the Paladins having 7 and the Eagles with 4 SOG. Paladins had 3 saves to the Eagles 0, Paladins also had 4 corner kicks to Eagles having 0.

The Paladins at the 40:51 mark get another goal and its 2-0 as #22 Christian Kraus got the score with an assist from #10 Dylan Lane and the fans are having a great time with the production Furman is giving even with the injuries. Lots of subs in the 27:13 mark for both teams. The game seems to be at hand for the Paladins but still plenty of time to go.

Winthrop gets a goal at the 11:03 mark to close in on the Paladins 2-1 with the goal was scored by #11 Grayson Woodard, and an assist by #20 Diego Candia.

The Paladins with a minute left put in many subs to gain a few minutes of experience as Winthrop battles to tie the game. The game ends with Furman Men’s soccer getting the win.
