The Furman Women’s soccer (8-5-3, 4-1-2 SoCon) was able to get a shutout victory on the visiting Wofford Terrier (5-10-2, 1-6-1 SoCon) on Sunday afternoon in front of a great at Stone Stadium. The Paladins was able to get scoring from Tara Katz when Shania Diaz nailed a pass her way at the 2:38 mark in the match. Nieva Gaither then added to the score when Katie Bengough headed a pass her way to make it 2-0.

Furman then before halftime got yet another huge score from Norah Roller nailed a goal to make the match 3-0 and Furman went into intermission. The second half was all about a strong defensive battle that Furman displayed all the way to the end giving senior Ashlyn Golla the final goal to make it 4-0 and Reese Dejong made it another shutout to give Furman a huge bounce back victory over its rival from up I85 Wofford in the Southern Conference.

Furman returns to action Thursday night for its final home game at 7pm facing Western Carolina at Eugene Stone Stadium. Make sure to come out and support your Lady Paladins.
