Furman Paladins Men’s Soccer (3-2-2) was able to get its first upset of the year by taking down unbeaten #23 ranked College of Charleston Cougars (6-1-1). Furman got two goals from Freshman Wilfer Bustamante, and Christian Kraus added 1 goal and 2 assist in the win.

“It’s great to get a road win over an unbeaten, top 25 team who are very good,” said Paladin head coach Doug Allison. “I’m really pleased with the character of our guys after we went a goal down to come back and take the lead. Then for them to tie the game and our team answer with the two goals at the end is a testament to the leadership of our captains and the character of the team.”
