Furman Paladins (2-1-1) on the season have a rare home game with ACC powerhouse Virginia Tech (3-0-1) at Seagraves Field in Greenville, S.C. Both teams look to extend their winning streak as they get ready to head into conference play.

Furman playing a great defensive game here in the opening minutes keeping the Hokies out of their side of the field, while already getting 3 shots on goal.

Virginia Tech gets the goal on a penalty kick by #17 Ethan Hackenberg in the 19th minute here at Furman and its 1-0 Hokies. Furman blocks a huge penalty kick, and they head into the half down 1-0 against the Hokies of Virginia Tech.

Halftime stats are Paladins with 7 fouls with 1 yellow card, 2 saves on goal, 4 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks and 0 points to show at this point. Furman is not able to stop the tough Viginia Tech team and loses 3-0 in front of a great crowd at Seagraves field.

The Hokies get another score and now its 2-0 over the Paladins as they come out of halftime ready to pounce on the Paladins. Furman has been great at keeping them out of the goal till now.

The Hokies get yet another goal and hold on to win 3-0 over the Paladins at Seagraves Field. The Paladins are back in action on Wednesday vs. Davidson.
