Furman Women’s Soccer (3-4-0) welcomes the USC Upstate Spartans (3-1-1) to Seagraves Field at Furman University. Furman is coming off a two game winning streak and are looking forward to trying to make it 3 games in a row.

The game starts off with Furman taking the advantage as they keep the ball on the USC Upstate side of the field and get the first shot on goal. USC Upstate will be relying on their speed in this game versus Furman.

We are at halftime of a scoreless game as both sides have been playing great defense and subbing players pretty well. This is a double header today as the Furman Men play ACC powerhouse Virginia Tech at 4pm.

Furman gets a penalty kick at the 28th minute and Furman scores as #10 Valentina Mosquera gets the Paladins in the lead 1-0. What a huge pick me up for this team as they have been rotating all their players getting much needed playing time for its players. Coach Burr is looking towards the SoCon schedule and making sure if he has any more injuries that he has players who have got plenty of meaningful minutes.

Furman gets another goal as #30 Maddie Massie nails one in and its now 2-0 Furman over USC Upstate with 23 minutes left to play. The Women’s team is playing with a extra moxie as they are sub in more players and keeping a fresh set of legs on the field.

We are under 5 minutes left in the game as Furman has been shooting at USC Upstate to 8 shots to 3 shots advantage. Both teams overall have been playing great defense. The game ends with Furman getting the win 2-0 over USC Upstate and are now 4-4-0 on the season.
