Furman to open 2024 home slate against Charleston Southern

#image_title

It’s an important week for the Furman Paladins football program, as the Paladins return home to begin their 2024 home schedule with a non-conference FCS matchup against Charleston Southern in Paladin Stadium tonight.

The Paladins (0-1) were paid a reported $500,000 to travel to Oxford, MS and play the top 10 FBS Ole Miss Rebels, and the results left much to be desired. The Rebels ran away with the contest from the beginning, and Furman will do their best to put the final score (a sobering 76-0) out of their minds as they transition to their FCS slate.

On the opposite sideline, Charleston Southern also comes in limping from a loss after dropping a home contest against the Citadel 22-21 last week.

Furman leads the all-time series against Charleston Southern 2-0, with the most recent contest a 24-19 Paladin victory in North Carolina in 2022.
