The Furman Paladins Football (0-1) went into Saturday Night’s game with a ton of talent, but most of it inexperienced against a #6 Ranked Ole Miss (1-0) out of the SEC. Unlike last year when Furman was able to have USC Gamecocks on the ropes in the first half, Ole Miss made it clear they wanted to make a example out of Furman fast. Ole Miss racked up 24 points in the first, 28 points in the 2nd, 21 in the 3rd, and 3 points in the 4th quarter to send the Paladins back home with questions and some answers even in a loss.

Furman had only 7 total first downs and a grand total of 26 yards rushing and 148 passing for the game for a grand total of 172 yards of offense. The Ole Miss team for the record had 772 yards of offense for the game, a huge difference in the game. Furman was able to get allot of players some game time so they would have film and we will hear from Coach Hendrix on Tuesday this week in his press conference heading into the night game at Furman versus Charleston Southern.
