Men’s Soccer Battles Lees-McRae
Furman Paladins Men’s Soccer is at home tonight versus the Lees-McRae Bobcats in its last exhibition match of the season. The game starts out chippy right from the start, even though these teams are not rivals or play each other much. At the 9:13 mark left in the game Trip Campbell MF #3 gets a goal with an assist from Wilfer Bustamante and the Paladins are up 1-0 on the Bobcats.
We are at a lightening delay with a delay of no less than 30 minutes. The lightening has moved on and we start back with the game being played at the beginning of the second half. So far Furman has 6 shots on Goal to Less-McRae 2, and the only goal coming from Trip Campbell at the 36-minute mark when the game was called due to weather.
We are at the 20-minutes to go mark and we are still 1-0 Furman ahead of Lees-Mcrae. Lots of moments with players pushing the envelope on physicality allowed, with two yellow cards so far, one on both teams. The fans still at the stadium go crazy as Wesley Siegel gets the score at the 4-minute mark and it is now Furman 2 and Lees-Mcrae 0.
