Furman Softball Ends Tourney Facing Lipscomb Bison at Pepsi Stadium
Furman steps into today’s game after a loss last night to Georgetown Hoyas who went undefeated for the weekend. Furman is the first one to strike blood with a run in the second inning then a three-run 3rd inning to take a 4-0 lead into the 5th inning. Lipscomb doesn’t go down without a fight, and scores 3 runs in the top of the fifth making the game closer for a comeback.
The bottom of the fifth Furman gets hot and returns to its huge lead by scoring four runs and making the score 8-3 heading into the sixth inning of play. A great crowd on hand for the game this weekend, as we close out the Furman Invitational, and the Lady Paladins head to the Bash at the Beach at Coastal Carolina this coming weekend after a mid-week game at the USC Gamecocks.
